No, that is included in the cost of the room.
- What comes with my room reservation?
Morning coffee is provided as well as some continental goodies, including bagels, yogurts, boiled eggs, etc. Please note that this varies from day to day.
Each room has a queen bed, crisp linens, and a small table and chair. Lamps and alarm clocks are included so you don’t miss your morning ride. Wifi is also included to complete the accommodations. We have a fire pit open for you to use that’s perfect to watch the sunsets of Alaska’s long light.
- What should I pack for my trail ride and farm tour?
Wearing close-toed shoes is a must. We always suggest bringing layers and having a rain jacket just in case.
- Do you have helmets to wear while riding?
We have helmets available in all sizes. We have helmets for everyone. All adult riders are required to sign a release waiver. Children ages 7-14 must wear a helmet. Children over 14 must wear a helmet unless release waiver is signed by a parent or guardian.
- What is your cancellation policy for your rooms?
For room rental, payment is due upon sale of goods. We require a 24-hour notice to cancel for a full refund. Any cancellation within 24 hours of booking is nonrefundable. No refunds are available for no shows. For the trail rides, we reserve the right to cancel due to inclement weather and will offer to reschedule or refund you at that time.
- Do we need a car in Alaska?
To get to our place, you’ll definitely need a car. Alaska has limited public transportation, and we aren’t set up to pick up or drop off guests. There are a few taxi services that drive from Anchorage to Palmer, but if you’re looking to get off the beaten path, cars are a must.
- How far is the Sunderland Ranch from Anchorage?
From downtown Anchorage, it is roughly a one-hour drive to Sunderland Ranch. It’s a little longer coming from the airport. It is an incredibly scenic and beautiful drive, so the time flies catching the mountain views.
